Inability to Minimize theWord from Windows Taskbar
I had stated this as part of another post, and it seems to have been missed.
When clicking on the taskbar button of any Windows program, you can either maximise it or minimise it - depending on the existing state of that program. Unfortunately, in Windows 7, one can only maximise theWord from its taskbar button, but then not be able to minimise it from the same. I find this to be a bit of a pain, especially when you are working with many programs at the same time - as the only way to minimise theWord is from its minimise button at the top right hand corner. I believe this is a design flaw that should be looked into.

Re: Inability to Minimize theWord from Windows Taskbar
Hello Polo, sorry for not replying elsewhere. This is a known bug in the list to be fixed, yet not so trivial. Until then, try this: go to View-Skin and uncheck the 'Use skinned window border'. This will make this work, although you will loose the skinned border, Costas

Re: Inability to Minimize theWord from Windows Taskbar
Costas, I am running version 3.1.5.1074 on Windows 7, 64 bit. I unchecked the 'Use skinned window border' then minimized the program. I maximized the program and turned the skinned border on again. Everything seemed fine but the next time I minimized the program I was not able to maximize it. When I hover the mouse over the icon on the taskbar it shows that the program is running but when I click it it does not restore or maximize. When I right click on the icon the only options that are available are "close" and "move", the other options are grayed out. iI restarted TW but it didn't help. I also restarted the computer but still have the problem. Can you suggest anything? Thanks, Rich

I went to "screen resolution" and switched off the second monitor and then I could see TW. It had been resized (very small). I maximized it and turned on the second display and everything is back to normal. Not sure what happened. Thanks for your time, Rich

Re: Inability to Minimize theWord from Windows Taskbar
Hi Rich, i could repeat this odd behavior myself. Obviously there is an annoying issue there. It seems to be related to turning on/off the skinned border when maximized. I will add this to my bug list, but i will check it when the time comes to fix the other issues with the min/max buttons referred here, Thank you Costas

I was just experimenting with the skinned border settings and was concerned that I had really messed things up. I have XP Pro on my laptop but haven't tried it there so I am not sure how it would work on another OS. I know you have many other important things you are working on so I would keep this a low priority. Thank you for your help. Rich

Thanks Rich, in general there is no issue; switching on/off the skinned border does have some issues, Costas

After switching the second monitor off I could resize it and it was fine. Maybe the problem is with Windows 7 running duel monitors instead of TW. I thought you might use this information. Rich
